We woke up at the respectable time of 7 so that we could eat another delicious breakfast before heading on the hike with the Mullens. They did a bunch of planning last night to make sure we could hike this loop that goes up into the mountains, along the mountain, past Mrs. Mullen’s restaurant that she works at, and back down a chair lift.
I don’t know what I necessarily expected from Utah, but I’m a fan of it. There’s so much more beauty than I expected. I don’t know why I didn’t expect, but between these mountains and the parks further south, most of this state is naturally beautiful. We’ll definitely need to come back.
After riding the chairlift down, we met up with Larissa and another fellow student friend at the Park Silly Market. Yes, they call it the Park Silly Market. We wandered around the market looking at different vendors. The people were super fun, excited about their art, and loved to share their passion with strangers.
A few scoops of ice cream later we got a ride back to the Mullen’s house from Larissa and said our goodbyes. It was such a short visit! Every time we hangout with someone, we always wish he had more time with those people.
We showered and got ready for dinner, which was a cookout at the neighbors. We walked through the backyard to their friends just in time for it to start storming. It started off light, but it didn’t stop raining until we left. We actually learned some cool stories and history of Park City. For example, the first chairlift for downhill skiing was made by riding a mining cart in, and taking an elevator up. Cool things that make sense but I never think of.
After dinner we packed up and got ready for a 6am departure tomorrow. In the morning we’ll say goodbye to the Mullens unfortunately! Being able to stay at the Mullens has been unbelievable, they’re amazing hosts, and made me feel comfortable right away. See you soon I’m sure.

send my best regards to the Mullen's . I miss those guys!
