This morning we got to sleep in a bit, after sleeping in a bed for the first time in awhile! We got up around 8-9ish and had a full breakfast made for us by the Mullens. We ate breakfast and headed into town. Alex was going to yoga, and I was going to the clinic. My poison oak has continued to not get better. It wasn’t getting much worse, but it wasn’t getting better, and I was very much over it.
The doctor prescribed me some steroids for the next two weeks, so I’m finally going to be healthy! I met up with Alex after yoga and we headed back to the house. Mrs. Mullen dropped us off in downtown Park City. We stopped at the first restaurant for lunch, but it ended up being amazing. It was like Chaco Canyon (for you Seattle folks), which is really good grain bowls, salads, and other stuff that tastes good and makes you feel good.
Downtown Park City is basically the area where all the expensive shops are, but there are also plenty of fun looking restaurants, there was a guy playing live music, and obviously people watching. Everyone was white. The town is super cute, and is at the foot of a mountain. Once we got done wandering, we got picked up and stopped back at the house.
The Mullens prepared some food and drinks for the evening. They took us to a concert at the top of a mountain (not the actual top). We got to take a gondola to the top section of Canyon Village Mountain to listen to the live music, eat chicken, veggies, and cherries, and drink delicious cocktails mixed by Mr. Mullen.
The music was a ton of fun, the scenery was beautiful, and the people watching was, as always, a good time. Once the music stopped, people stuck around for awhile before heading down. We headed down the gondola and went back to the house. We hung around on their back patio for awhile by the fire before calling it a night. I’m excited to see what level of itchiness I’ll be at tomorrow since these meds have started to kick in.
