The Mission

Parking in the city is absurd. We’re stayig near Union Square and it can take us 20 minutes to find a spot to park that we can leave overnight. This morning we woke up and had to feed the meter for the two house limit starting at 7am. We were planning on continuing to feed the meter all day via an app, but it doesn’t let us extend the time on the meter remotely.

We ended up taking the car over to the mission for the day and parked before heading into Yoga To The People. As expected, Jeremy came in late. He always somehow pulls off making it places in time but just in time or a little late. The studio was unbelievable, especially considering it’s a donation based yoga studio.

After yoga we wandered around the Mission looking for a brunch spot. We decided on a place based on the fact that they have amazing Benedict’s and huge mimosas (the size on the menu was called “huge”). We met up with my college friend Lorna and one of the kids she nannies too, which was super fun to catch up! She’s also moving to NYC in a few weeks, so that’s pretty neat.

We wandered for a bit, checking out some thrift stores, looking at al the cool building art, before having a low key day. The rest of the day we committed to hanging out in Dolores Park sipping a brew, tossing the frisbee, playing cards, and people watching. It was a really hot day, but there was a strong breeze that made the heat deceiving (we got some serious sun despite 55 SPF).

After hours of hanging out, we went our separate ways 😪. Jeremy went to dinners with his cousin, and we did the same. Alex made us some amazing enchiladas and we caught up on all things life. It’s so fun to see him and hangout like normal despite it being 3+ years since we last spent time together. After a great evening with Alex, we headed back home and called it a night.

Tomorrow is our last full day in SF before heading down the coast to Monterey. See ya tomorrow!
