It’s easy to wake up when you know you’re going to a bakery for quiche, decaf coffee, and a fruit croissant pastry. Shortly after packing up and the bakery stop we went back north for a farmers market because that’s what you do if it’s available. We were able to get all the best produce for a few healthy meals. We’ve been eating out so much it actually doesn’t feel good. Also, we got a car plant for the trip.
One thing I didn’t mention last night is that we realized we didn’t book for a place tonight, and double booked places for tomorrow night. We have nowhere to stay and couldn’t find reservable campsites. So today, we had to find campsite while taking in the beautiful coastline.
We made it a bigger deal than it had to be, but it was pretty far from where we planned on being. It was totally worth it! We got to the Nacimiento Campground in the afternoon and found a creekside spot. Quickly claiming the spot, we also realized we didn’t get firewood. An hour and a half later we got back from Greenfield and hung out before a high veggie dinner and a campfire ended our day.
Our swimming spot
I'm envious of the swimming spot. Not so much of the DECAF coffee :(
ReplyDeleteNot a bad spot for winging it.
