Today we headed out of San Fran, packing a car that I parked two an a half blocks away. I know it sounds like I’m being dramatic, and I am a little bit, but we had to carry three loads of crap up two flights of stairs and two and a half blocks, uphill both ways.
Today we headed out of San Fran, packing a car that I parked two an a half blocks away. I know it sounds like I’m being dramatic, and I am a little bit, but we had to carry three loads of crap up two flights of stairs and two and a half blocks, uphill both ways.
Once we did get that done, we stopped at REI because we obviously don’t have enough camping gear. Off to Monterey! The drive was down highway 1 along some amazing coastal beaches, stopping in Santa Cruz for a few hours. Fifty dollars later we enjoyed some boardwalk rides, beach views, and people watching; we surprisingly avoided falling for a funnel cake.
We got into Monterey and grabbed dinner off Alvarado St. after meeting our Airbnb hosts. It was fairly late after dinner so we called it a night.
